This product is measured using the photoelectric colorimetric method. After mixing the water sample and buffer, copper is converted into its respective high valence state ions in the presence of a strong oxidant. In the presence of a buffer solution and indicator, the high valence ions react with the indicator to form a colored complex. The monitor detects the color change and converts it into a copper value output.
